Salutations to him who is maniplated by those who pay their obeisance before him.

Salutations to him who directs the universe through Indra and the other gods who are

conditioned by Time.

Salutations to the thousand-rayed one who radiates through the Sun.

seven Vedic metres).

Salutations to the diaphanous one who is lighter than a wisp of cotton.

Salutations to the Vastness which touches all things directly while itself remaining stationary.

Salutations to the substratum of all qualities and things that exist.

844. om nirguṇāya namaḥ

Salutations to him who is untouched by all the inauspicious attributes things that he pervades.

Salutations to the great one who has the ability to achieve all that he desires.

Salutations to the independent one who is not subject to the direction of another.

Salutations to the one who is self-dependant, whose greatness is not dependant on any mundane

means.

Salutations to him who has been revealed by the Vedas.

853. om yogine namaḥ

Salutations to him who is endowed with super human prowess.

Salutations to the foremost of the Yoga practitioners who causes other to succeed in the practice

of Yoga.

Salutations to the wish-fulfiller who bestows mystical powers on those who strive for them, even

though they are a hindrance on the path to Liberation.

Salutations to the resort of those who have experienced sojourn in the heavenly worlds and have

returned to earth.

Salutations to him who is who encourages the practice of Yoga begun in a past life.

Salutations to him who advances the progress of the practitioners of Yoga even though they

may have fallen from the path.

Salutations to the one who helps the Yogis to cross the ocean of transmigration once they have

resumed the practice.

Salutations to the greatest of the forbearing who was relieved to see Gajendra safe.

Salutations to him who dispelled the fear of Gajendra.

Salutations to him who grants merit to those who listen attentively to his pastimes of saving

Gajendra.

worship from the jivas.

Salutations to him who is pleased by the chanting of the Sama hymns.

Salutations to the source of joy to Devaki his mother (as Krishna).
